Question about applying to a dentist's office?!? - dental hygienist resumes, examples of

I am currently in school training as a dental hygienist. No, I do with my career for another 3 years ... In the meantime, I would like to work in a dentist's office to gather some experience. (I am a dental assistant or something else). How do I apply for a job in a dental surgery? I really have no experience of tooth or anything. I send my resume to a different group of dentists? Or should I actually go into the offices of dentists and give them my resume ?????!! I looked in the classifieds and all that, but no jobs are available ???!? HELP!
